The 2018 Viking lineup will include a new Armor Grey color.

Yamaha touts that its Viking models offer class-leading cab room and comfort, and yet they are “the toughest and hardest working utility-based SxS vehicles that are also fun to drive.” All Viking models are powered by a 686cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, SOHC engine, which is mated to an Ultramatic fully automatic CVT transmission designed to offer natural-feeling engine braking, On-Command 2WD and 4WD function, a full differential lock, and Electric Power Steering. The Viking features 11.8 inches of ground clearance, large-diameter front and rear wheel disc brakes, and a 9.7-gallon fuel tank for long rides or all-day work.

Viking’s are available in either a three- or six-seat cabin, with automotive-style two-stage door latches, passthrough bucket seating, padded passenger handholds, and dedicated angled floorboard foot positioning. Out back, a reinforced rear steel cargo bed incorporates mounting points on the bed rails and a rubber cargo bed mat to reduce sound and vibration. The rear cargo area is large enough for a fully-loaded pallet, and the assisted dump bed can pack up to 600 pounds of equipment and supplies. Viking SxSs are also fitted with a standard two-inch receiver hitch that is rated to pull 1,500 pounds with or without a full load in the cargo bed.
