Notes of Note Equipped with a tubular
chro-moly steel chassis, 12 inches of "A-Arm" front / 15 inches of
"T-15" coil-over supported wheel travel, and a host of high
performance engine options, the 2001 model line up from Redline
Snowmobiles is poised to take on the big boys in a big way.
Utilizing the technology derived from years of experience in the
off-road racing world, Redline offers a vast departure from the
norm.
Mixed amongst the high-tech wizardry is a note of
practicality. Right alongside their ultra high performing
2-Strokes, the 1300cc "Revolt", and SX702 "Rebellion", Redline
offers the first production 4-Stroke machines designed to meet
stringent emissions requirements, well into the year 2007.
At A
Glance
Leading up this revolution in technology, is,
interestingly enough, the "Revolution 954" - a SOHC fuel injected
V-Twin unique in the lands of the ice, and snow. Following the lead
of the Revolution, the SP604S offers riders many of the features of
the Redline lineup, with an eye on comfort, and versatility. With
4-Valve 4-Stroke displacing 595cc, the "little" liquid cooled,
single cylinder stormer paves the way for Redline's entry into the
mass market.
While the Revolution and SP604S are groundbreaking
machines in their own right, the real excitement for high-po buffs
in the Redline product lineup comes from their 1300CC "Revolt", and
SX702 "Rebellion" With 1300 cc's and 225HP worth of rear-exhausted
performance at the tip of the thumb, the Revolt offers ultimate
performance for the lake racer, mountaineer, and just about
everyone in-between. Available optioned with two separate track
lengths, the Revolt can be custom tailored for your preferred
riding environment.
Sno-Cross fans may well be in for the ride of
their lives aboard the SX702. While the final details are TBA, the
700cc sled features a factory 43in. ski stance, and is rumored to
come in under the ISR minimum weight requirement, leaving racers to
determine their own additional weight placement for optimal
handling.
Throughout the Redline lineup you'll find the T-15 rear,
and long travel A-Arm front suspension. Again, desert racing
technology rears it's head. Mated to the space frame chassis, the
coilover T-15 rear, and matching A-Arm front suspension rely on
Bilstein reservoir shocks, and Ebiach springs to handle the load
and damping chores. This results in a legitimate 12in. front /
15in. rear travel.
